Happy Anniversary
So, this week marked our 3rd Anniversary. It's hard to believe that we have been married for 3 years already! How our lives have changed in such a short amount of time. Sean has given me the best couple of years; from marrying me, then giving me the joy of my life. Who knows what will come next! Ummm, just a side note...did you know that the traditional gift theme is "Leather"? Leather? Really?!?
I can't believe it, but Caleb will also be 6 months old in about a week and a half.
Our little boy has brought so much joy to our lives. Just today, he was laughing so hard during a session of Peek-A-Boo that I couldn't help but laugh out loud too. The nanny came running in just to see what was setting him off. :)
It's moments like these that just melt your heart.
Below is a pic from our dinner at Beeff and Bottle. Caleb was gnawing on his 8th packet of crackers (He would throw them on the floor once they were all crushed into crumbs) and Sean was about to finish our bottle of wine. :)

Adventures in Eating Part II
Hurry up!
Feed me faster Daddy
3rd day of feeding- this time with the pear juice- Even Mae wanted to see if he would eat better
First day of feeding, Caleb is more interested in the toys
So, we decided to start feeding Caleb rice cereal again this week. It seems like he is a bit more interested in what we are eating and drinking. Drinking for sure, as he wants to drink out of our cups and loves drinking water dropped into his mouth from a straw.
The first 2 days didn't go any better, so I decided to call the doctor's office to get some advice. She mentioned that now we really need to make sure we keep up with it since he isn't getting the adequate amount of iron from just breast milk alone. Also, since he is closing in on 6 months (yes, 6 months already!) he really needs to get used to eating solids. I know several people have suggested putting it in a bottle, but our doctor specifically told us not to. He needs to learn to eat from a spoon and not associate it with a bottle. The nurse did however tell us something that they hadn't mentioned before. We could add in a little baby white grape or pear juice to give it a bit more flavor. So, I came home a little early told with the juice. Let me tell you, what a difference it made. Caleb went from eating for only a few minutes and spitting most of it out, to practically gobbling every bite up. He's still not eating that much, but we are definitely making progress! I was so excited and proud of our big boy. Here are some pics to document the event.

Working from Home
So, I was actually able to work from home on Friday. Mostly because Caleb decided to wake up at 2:30 and then didn't go back down again until around 4:30. Thankfully Sean, took care of him most of the time, but since this was my first week back at work, I am extra tired right now.
I took a couple of pictures of Caleb, since I haven't been able to do any others this week. I apologize now, because the updates on here will not be as frequent as they were when I was at home. If you would like for them to be more frequent, please join my campaign to stay at home to my husband. ;)

Nanny Pics
So, this week was my first week back in the office. I must say, it wasn't as bad as I thought, but thankfully everyone is pretty flexible, so I was able to head home early and see Caleb a little more. Hopefully once I am settled back in to things, I can start to work from home a little more regularly. We'll see... :)
So, I asked the nanny to take some pics during the day. I didn't realize until today, that she was actually doing it. I must admit, she took some really cute ones. I picked a few i liked....enjoy!

First Week with the Nanny
Excited and sad all at the same time. The nanny started this week, which also means that I am heading back to work. We decided to have her start the week before I head back, so we can transition Caleb to a new person. Like all things, our son has taken to her really well. It only took 1 day for him to start eating with her. Of course, the rest of us have to hide and stay out of view. But that is the case for anyone feeding him, he gets distracted very easily. :) My parents were nice enough to come for most of the week, to help with the translation/communication of my wants and needs for Caleb. This week would not have gone as smoothly as it did without them.
Thanks Mom and Dad!! I love you!
Caleb also started chatting a lot again this week. I think it was because he loved having so many people in the house. Or maybe is already trying to speak chinese. ;) We'll try to load a video.
Happy Mother's Day to all!!
