Swings!!!

Sophie enjoyed her first ride on the swings in the park this weekend.  She was relaxed and even laughed alittle.  But note the death grip she had on the swing with her left hand in the pictures below.  After a while she finally let go.  Caleb was right next to her the whole time enjoying them as well.  Sophie at a leisurely pace and Caleb wanting to go as high as he could. :)

Christmas 2012

This was a very special Christmas.  The Hardesty family made their way down here to celebrate, just as Caleb is at an age to really enjoy it!  What fun!  We enjoyed a dinner of hot pot, lunch out for pizza (which included waiting an hour and a half for our seafood), Chrismas Eve service which both Caleb and Sophie were so well behaved and a prime rib dinner on Christmas.  Thankfully the weather was a lot nicer than was anticipated. Caleb was so blessed with a ton of gifts, I'm not sure he knows what to do with everything.  I don't think we have enough room in the house for all of his new stuff. ;)

The Love of Technology Begins

Early Christmas Lunch with Pau-Pau and Gong-Gong

We met up with Pau-Pau and Gong-Gong today for lunch in Burlington, since we won't be celebrating with them in person this year.  The Hardesty clan will be here for the first time! And no better time now that Caleb is 2yrs old and loves presents and tearing things up. :)

Caleb truly has an exceptional vocabulary, and at times we don't know where he gets it.  He is already structuring sentences, as well as using big words. An example today was that he saw this rock and said it was a "big boulder".  Thus the picture below. :)  Also, he has been we.aring his dinosaur rain boots non-stop since he got them from us on his birthday.  I think part of the reason is that he can put them on himself

Sophie was there as well, but she wasn't cooperating as much, so we didn't get a picture of her with Pau-Pau and Gong-Gong. (That was Caleb saying "cheese")

I've also included a short video of us at the park this evening.  Showing how adventurous he is and how observant and verbal he is.

 

Eating already!

So, now that Sophie is 4 months old we were told we could start giving her cereal.  Not sure if you remember, but Caleb never took to it.  This just goes to show you each child is very different.  Sophie has actually been eating rice cereal this whole week and loves it.... I've already doubled the amt she has been eating and will probably increase it more next week.  Let's just hope that she also enjoys solids as much as Caleb does later on. :)  Here is a short video of her.  Hard to video tape her and feed her at the same time, while having a 2 yr old hovering around your feet trying to get up.
