Weekend Fun

We tried to take Caleb out as much as possible this weekend.   He has so much energy these days, it seems to take all of ours to keep up with him.

 It was hot at the Oyster Roast....it seemed like he might like oysters, but then he decided he didn't.  We'll add it to the short list. :)

Big Boy

Caleb is growing up so quickly!  Not only does it seem like he really understands everything you ask him or tell him.  He is getting better at trying drink from an open cup.  Here he is enjoying a milkish drink, that I grew up loving as a child.  Cold, milky and sweet....all things that kids love. :)  I also recorded his enjoyment of the drink as well.  I think he really enjoyed being treated like a big boy.

Adults Only

Sean and I took an Adults Only trip last weekend to the Domincan Republic, while my parents graciously took care of Caleb.  We did exactly what we wanted to do.  Sleep in and lay around...things that don't really happen anymore with a child.  Especially a child who does not know the meaning of sleeping in. :)
A big thank you goes out to my parents for taking on Caleb for four days while we got the rest and relaxation we really needed.

Strawberry Picking

We took Caleb to go strawberry picking for the 1st time, since he lovessss strawberries. We figured he would love the strawberry part, as well as being about to run around a wide open space. he did more eating than picking, and oddly enough seemed to just know which ones he should eat and shouldn't eat.

So, I know all children love to play in the fridge.....BUT....what child do you know that goes into the fridge and startings grubbing on a plate of cauliflower! Literally jamming it into his mouth by the handfuls!!! He wouldn't even turn away from the plate for me to take a picture.

I'll take it while it lasts! :)

Easter 2012

Happy Easter!!!

We had a great 2nd Easter with Caleb. We skyped with both families,went to brunch,had an easter egg hunt in the backyard and ended the day with a great dinner at home. We are truly blessed.

Caleb is obsessed with watching videos of himself. this is his subtle way of telling me he wants my phone back. FYI: Caleb usually has clothes on for dinner, but ended up getting a little dirty playing with my potted flowers. He never complains to being sans clothes. :)

Weekend Fun

Caleb is just amazing to watch from day to day. It's truly amazing to see your child discover the world for the first time and how he takes it all in. He is starting to try to verbalize everything, and picks up new words all the time. We had a great time going to a friends house party on Sat, and then a birthday party on Sunday! Let me just say, girls and boys are sooooo different and getting them next to each other really shows it. He loved all of the attention and people!
Also, one more thing that amazes me. Caleb's love of veggies. Every meal, hands down he goes for the veggies first. A prime example was from the party where we had pizza. Most of the adults were eating veggie pizza, and the kids stuck to the cheese pizza. Caleb grabs my slice and starts to eat the veggies off of my pizza. :) We'll take it for as long as it lasts....bc I know it will probably end at some point.
