A Full Day of Firsts
I can't believe it's been a whole year!! Sophie turned 1 today! It's amazing what she has accomplished in such a short time frame, and I hate to say it- but she puts Caleb to same on some of her skills. :)
We started the day by heading out for lunch and having some fried pickles. Nothing but the healthiest stuff for our kids. ;) We were on our way to the Carolina Panther Fan Fest today, which we thought Caleb would like. His focus was of course, not quite on what everyone else's focus was. The souvenir was a flash light, and he had to have his full face painted. Let me say, I tried for the whole 20 minutes we waited to talk him into a partial paint, but he had to have a full one. He was a real trooper and sat through it. They also had a bounce house there which he went in a few times. Amazingly, he zonked out in the stroller on the way back to the car, and Sophie made it back to the house first.
Once Sophie was up from her nap, we had birthday cake. Caleb of course, had to have his own cupcake with a candle. And then proceeded to eat all of the icing off of Sophie's cake..... it took Sophie a little bit to get into the cake eating, but she did and made quite the mess of herself (so did Caleb)
